Long-Distance Towing from Raleigh, Durham & the Triangle
Need a vehicle moved across North Carolina, to the coast, to the mountains or out of state? Williams Towing Fleet runs long-distance towing from Raleigh, Durham, RTP, Morrisville, Cary and Apex to wherever it needs to go. Call (919) 230-4498 for a quote – we’ll give you a flat price before the truck leaves.

Long hauls ride on our flatbed rollback carriers, so your vehicle sits fully on the bed with no wheels turning on the pavement. That’s the safest way to move a car hundreds of miles, and it works for all-wheel-drive, EVs, classics and vehicles that don’t run.
When You Need a Long-Distance Tow
- Broke down on a road trip – you’d rather have the car fixed by your own mechanic back home than by a stranger three hours away.
- Moving – a second car, a project car or a vehicle that isn’t road-worthy needs to go to your new address.
- Bought a car out of town – a private sale, auction or dealer purchase in another city that you can’t drive back.
- Dealer or specialty shop far away – warranty work, a restoration shop or a specialist that isn’t local.
- College students – getting a car to or from NC State, UNC, Duke, ECU, App State or anywhere else in the state.
- Classic and collector cars – to a show, a buyer or a storage facility, handled with soft straps and care.
Where We Go
Our trucks are based in the Cary–Morrisville area, and we regularly run:
- Across the Triangle and Triad – Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Burlington.
- To the coast – Wilmington, Jacksonville, Morehead City, the Outer Banks.
- West – Charlotte, Hickory, Asheville, Boone.
- Out of state – Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and beyond. Ask us about anywhere on the East Coast.
Every route is different. Tell the dispatcher the pickup and drop-off addresses and we’ll quote it.
How Long-Distance Towing Works
- Call (919) 230-4498 with both addresses. Give us the pickup location, the destination, the vehicle (year, make, model, does it run, does it roll) and when you need it moved.
- Get a flat quote. Long-distance jobs are priced by the trip, so you know the total before we schedule.
- Schedule the pickup. Same day when a truck is available, or a set time that works for you. You don’t have to be there if we’ve arranged keys and access.
- Inspection and loading. The driver walks around the vehicle, notes its condition, loads it on the flatbed and secures it with straps at all four corners.
- Delivery. We drive straight through, unload at the destination and hand off the keys to you or the person you name.
Getting Your Vehicle Ready
- Remove valuables and loose items from the cabin and trunk.
- Leave about a quarter tank of fuel – enough to load and unload, not a full tank of extra weight.
- Tell us about anything unusual: air suspension, low ground clearance, aftermarket splitters, a dead battery or a stuck parking brake.
- Have the keys ready, or tell us where they’ll be.
- For a car you’re buying or selling, let the other party know when to expect our truck.

Long-Distance Towing FAQ
How much does long-distance towing cost?
It depends on the distance, the vehicle and the timing. Call (919) 230-4498 with the two addresses and we’ll quote the whole trip up front.
Will my car be on a flatbed the whole way?
Yes. Long hauls ride on our rollback carriers with all four wheels off the ground.
Can you tow a car that doesn’t run?
Yes. We winch non-running vehicles onto the bed. Let us know if it doesn’t roll or steer so the driver brings the right gear.
Do I have to ride along?
No. Most customers meet us at one end or arrange keys and access. Ask the dispatcher about your situation.
