Fuel Delivery in Raleigh, Durham & the Triangle
The gauge said you had a few miles left. It didn’t. If you’re sitting on the shoulder of I-40, in a deck at North Hills, in an office lot in RTP or on a back road outside Apex with an empty tank, call (919) 230-4498. Williams Towing Fleet brings gas or diesel to you, 24 hours a day, anywhere in Raleigh, Durham, RTP, RDU, Morrisville, Cary, Apex and Holly Springs.

You don’t have to walk along a busy road with a gas can. We bring enough fuel to get you to the nearest station, pour it in safely, make sure the engine starts, and send you on your way.
What Our Fuel Delivery Includes
- Regular unleaded or diesel – tell the dispatcher which your vehicle takes.
- Enough to reach a station – typically a few gallons, so you can fill up properly at a pump.
- Safe pour – the driver uses an approved can and spout, away from traffic.
- Restart check – some vehicles need a few tries to prime after running completely dry. The driver stays until it’s running.
- Backup plan – if the engine still won’t start (a bad fuel pump, a dead battery from cranking), the same truck can jump it or tow it to a shop.

What to Do When You Run Out of Gas
- Get off the road if you can. Coast onto the shoulder, into a lot or onto a side street. Turn on your hazards.
- Call (919) 230-4498. Tell us where you are (exit number, mile marker, cross street or a dropped pin), what you drive and whether it’s gas or diesel.
- Stay with the vehicle. On a highway, stay buckled in unless you can get well clear of traffic. Don’t walk along the shoulder to a station.
- Don’t keep cranking. Running the starter over and over drains the battery and can strain the fuel pump.
- We arrive, fuel and start it. Then head to the nearest station and fill up.
Diesel Ran Dry? Read This
Many diesel engines won’t restart after running out of fuel until the air is bled out of the lines. Some newer trucks self-prime with a few key cycles; others need the filter housing refilled or a manual primer pump worked. Tell the dispatcher it’s a diesel so the driver knows what to expect. If it won’t prime on the roadside, we can tow it to a diesel shop rather than leave you stranded.

Fuel Delivery FAQ
How much fuel do you bring?
Enough to get you to a gas station – usually a couple of gallons. Fill up properly once you’re there.
How much does fuel delivery cost?
It depends on where you are and the fuel you need. Call (919) 230-4498 and the dispatcher will quote it before dispatching.
My car has fuel but still won’t start. Can you help?
Yes. It may be the battery, the fuel pump or something else. We can jump it on the spot or tow it to a shop.
Do you bring premium fuel?
We carry regular unleaded and diesel. A small amount of regular is safe in almost any gasoline vehicle for the short trip to a station, where you can fill with premium.
