Roadside Tire Change in Raleigh, Durham & the Triangle
A flat on I-40 at rush hour, a nail in the sidewall in a North Hills parking deck, a blowout on the Durham Freeway in the rain. Whatever it is, you don’t have to wrestle a jack on the shoulder. Call (919) 230-4498 and Williams Towing Fleet will send a driver to change your tire, 24 hours a day, anywhere in Raleigh, Durham, RTP, RDU Airport, Morrisville, Cary, Apex or Holly Springs.

We put your spare on, torque the lug nuts to spec, check the spare’s pressure, and make sure you’re safe to drive to a tire shop. No spare? We’ll get you and the vehicle to a shop that can fix or replace it.
What Our Tire Change Includes
- Safe setup – truck positioned to shield you from traffic, vehicle chocked, jack on a proper lift point (not the floor pan).
- Spare installed – full-size or compact donut, whichever you have.
- Lug nuts torqued – in a star pattern, to the right spec, so the wheel doesn’t loosen or warp.
- Pressure check – spares are often flat from sitting for years. We air it up.
- Flat tire loaded – in your trunk so the shop can look at it.
- Honest advice – a donut is good for about 50 miles at 50 mph. We’ll tell you if the spare or the other tires don’t look safe.
No Spare? No Problem
Many newer cars ship with an inflator kit instead of a spare, and those kits don’t work on a sidewall tear or a blowout. If you don’t have a usable spare, we’ll tow the vehicle to a tire shop in Cary, Morrisville or Apex, or to your own mechanic. For a run-flat that’s been driven too far, the same applies.

What to Do When You Get a Flat
- Slow down gradually. Grip the wheel, ease off the gas, don’t slam the brakes.
- Get well off the road. Drive slowly on the flat to a wide shoulder, an exit or a lot rather than stopping in a narrow spot. A ruined rim is cheaper than being hit.
- Hazards on. At night, leave the parking lights on too.
- Call (919) 230-4498. Tell us which tire, whether you have a spare, and where you are (exit, mile marker, cross street or a dropped pin).
- Wait safely. On a highway shoulder, stay buckled in unless you can get behind a guardrail well away from traffic.

Tire Change FAQ
How much does a roadside tire change cost?
Call (919) 230-4498 with your location and the dispatcher will quote it before sending a truck.
Can you bring me a new tire?
We install the spare you have. If you don’t have one, we tow you to a tire shop that can match your size.
How far can I drive on a donut spare?
Most compact spares are rated for about 50 miles at no more than 50 mph. Get the flat repaired or replaced as soon as you can.
The lug nuts are stuck. Can you still change it?
Usually yes. Our drivers carry impact tools and breaker bars. If a lug nut is stripped or a wheel lock key is missing, we may need to tow the vehicle to a shop.
